North Korean hackers, linked to the Lazarus Group, have set up three shell companies to target and scam cryptocurrency developers. These entities, BlockNovas, Angeloper Agency, and SoftGlide, are operating in the U.S. and use fake job offers to distribute malware, specifically targeting sensitive crypto data.
According to @zach0h, the malware used includes BeaverTail, OtterCookie, and InvisibleFerret. The FBI has intervened, taking action against some of these fraudulent companies. The exposure of such tactics highlights the ongoing cybersecurity threats within the crypto space.
