Hackers, SEC, and a Goldfish?

In the U.S., Eric Council Jr. pulled off a SIM swap hack, targeting the SEC's X account. With fake IDs, he duped AT&T, swapped SIMs, and received crypto payments. His googling suggested paranoia about FBI investigations. Unfortunately for him, this digital thief was reeled in during another cyber heist attempt. Bitcoin markets went wild, wrongly thinking a new ETF was approved. Eric's slip-ups and lack of foresight now have him facing prison. Oh, the irony of when hackers don't cover their digital tracks well enough and end up as the fish caught in the net!
