Romanian man Thomasz Szabo, infamous for orchestrating online "swatting" attacks against US lawmakers, including a former president, has pled guilty. The U.S. extradited Szabo in November, who led a community targeting about 100 officials with dangerous hoax calls. Operating under aliases like “Plank” and “Cypher,” Szabo provoked security threats from overseas, affecting government officials and religious sites. Both political sides were targeted, showing no partisan bias. His sentencing is set for October.
