A 146,000-year-old skull found in China is identified as the first complete Denisovan fossil. Previously dubbed "Dragon Man," it was confirmed as Denisovan through groundbreaking DNA analysis of proteins on the teeth. This discovery reveals the Denisovan's physical appearance, showing them as robust individuals with distinct features. The Denisovans interbred with early Homo sapiens, leaving traces in modern populations, notably among indigenous Australians and Papuans. This finding enriches our understanding of human evolution and ancient migrations.
