Teaching Entrepreneurship: College Can't Do It

The idea that you can teach entrepreneurship within the confines of a college classroom is, quite frankly, laughable. Much like trying to learn to swim without getting wet, entrepreneurship is an art that requires real-world experience and a hefty dose of failure. Professors may talk up grand theories of business creation, but in reality, being an entrepreneur is about grit, risk-taking, and innovation—qualities you can't simply absorb from a textbook. A classroom's four walls can hardly replicate the unpredictable dynamics of the market.
