Swarms of flying ants are buzzing across the UK, thanks to the hot, sticky weather. These winged critters, essentially ant royalty on their honeymoon, surface yearly to reproduce and create new colonies. Cesar Wang from Ants HQ says the ants are harmless and just looking to mate. They appear after rain when the ground's ripe for new colonies. But, if black garden ants eye your pantry, keep an eye on them, so they don't invade your home. Meanwhile, a heat health alert is underway, warning of potential health impacts due to the ongoing scorching temperatures. Keep cool and mind those ants!
