London Heathrow uses jet engine soundtrack to soothe passenger nerves during holiday rush.
Heathrow Airport is experimenting with a non-stop soundtrack of jet engines playing throughout the summer in an attempt to calm travelers before their flights. Created by musician @Jordan_Rakei, the four-minute ambient track uses a mix of 50 different airport sounds, from engines to beepings, to capture the excitement of travel. It's running until August's end, inspired by Brian Eno's ambient genre work. Whether it actually eases pre-flight jitters remains a curiosity amidst the travel chaos.
