Metaplanet, a Japanese investment firm, now holds more Bitcoin than El Salvador. The Tokyo-listed firm, led by CEO Simon Gerovich (@SimonGerovich), recently added $129 million worth of Bitcoin, pushing its total holdings to 6,796 BTC, valued at approximately $707 million. This accumulation strategy, which began in April 2024, outpaces El Salvador's 6,714 BTC. Metaplanet is Asia’s largest Bitcoin holder.
