The Oxford Union in the UK recently decided against making it mandatory to fly the LGBT flag during Pride Month. The President, Anita Okunde, suggested that every president should ensure the flag is flown prominently in June. However, the idea was rejected in a vote, fearing a "Pandora's box" of requests to fly other flags could follow. Despite Okunde's assertion that the rule existed before, most of the committee opted not to formalize it, affirming support for LGBT rights doesn't necessitate the flag's display.
